An All Souls' Day service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 426 Mulberry St., at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Also known as the Commemoration of All Faithful Departed, this service is an extension of All Saints' Day. The service is designed to offer particular remembrance of, and thanksgiving for the lives of departed loved ones, family members, and friends.

plans to host speaker
PICTURE ROCKS - The story of "Deborah's House," a women's shelter in Tijuana, Mexico, will be the topic of a talk by Leila Martin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at Picture Rocks Baptist Church, 50 Elm St.
The facility, which Martin visited in June, provides a safe haven of hope for women and children fleeing domestic violence in Tijuana. It offers a place to live, receive mental health counseling, medical care and the opportunity to develop a promising future.
Martin is a former president of the Northumberland Baptist Assn. of Women and a former community coordinator of the association.
Light-the-Night, Trinity Assembly of God's annual Halloween event, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the church parking lot at 332 N. Loyalsock Ave., Montoursville.

Nisbet United Methodist Church will hold its annual craft fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. next Saturday, featuring 16 vendors.

A Christian Youth Awareness Day is planned for 5 to 10 p.m. next Saturday at the Williamsport YMCA Pickelner Arena.
Performing will be Thaddeus Davis, a Christian rap artist, Christian rock bands: The Pledge, My Heart to Fear, and An Early Ending. Brian Neal, a motivational speaker, is scheduled to speak at the event. He uses his testimony as a vehicle to change lives, Radio personality "Insane" Erik Lane will emcee the evening.

Approximately 65 well-known hymns and gospel songs have been written by Pennsylvania writers in the 19th and 20th centuries. To celebrate these, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in South Williamsport will hold a Pennsylvania Hymns Sing at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21.
The congregation will participate and special music will be offered by the childrens choir, childrens bell choir, the adult choir, the Words of Life Quartet and the ladies trio. A love offering will be taken.

CALDWELL - Caldwell United Methodist Church will hold a "soup/bake sale" from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21.

The Ladies Auxiliary of Holy Cross Orthodox Church has announced its fall schedule of activities, to be held in the Orthodox Fellowship Center adjacent to the church off Northway Road in Loyalsock Township.
Pierogi (potato/cheese filling) will be made fresh and available for pickup from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4. They are par-boiled, sauteed and packed in dozens. "My Big Fat Greek Lentil Soup" will also be available by the quart. Orders should be received by the Wednesday prior to each sale at the pierogi hotline: 601-4291.
The annual Election Day Dinner is slated for Tuesday from 4:30 to 7 p.m., featuring chicken pot pie.
