What does a decadent three-layer double chocolate cake dressed with more than 200 pieces of chocolate candy, perfectly crimped pies, hand-decorated mini cheesecakes and a flawlessly layered chocolate trifle all have in common?
They were just a few of the many sweet treats available at Albright LIFE Lycoming-Clinton's first annual Dessert Tasting to benefit the Lycoming County United Way.
According to Tracy Haas, Albright LIFE Lycoming-Clinton marketing coordinator, "Even though we aren't an organization with a large number of employees, we wanted to do our part to support the United Way for the huge impact they make to our program."
Employees prepared their signature dessert and guests donated $5 to sample 10 of the offerings.
The center's participants also joined in the fun and prepared a diabetic-friendly pumpkin bread pudding.
Perry Landon, Albright LIFE Lycoming-Clinton executive director, said "I am incredibly pleased at the way our employees and participants came together to make the event a success. It really does prove that giving back to our community is the sweetest gift of all."

Albright LIFE (Living Independently for Elders) is a community-based program that allows individuals who meet nursing home eligibility criteria to live safely and independently in their own homes.
LIFE participants receive medical, social, nutritional and rehabilitative services at Albright's Older Adult Daily Living Center and, when necessary, in their own home.
