Melissa Kelly Schon and Joseph Donald Hamm, both of Cogan Station, were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009.
The Rev. Joseph Schreck officiated at the ceremony held at Hepburn Baptist Church, Cogan Station. A rehearsal dinner was held at the Valley Inn, DuBoistown, and a reception was held at the Holiday Inn.
The bride is the daughter of Valerie R. and Oscar L. Schon, Cogan Station. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2003 and received an associate degree in early childhood education from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2007. She is employed by Bostley's Preschool and Learning Centers Inc. as a director.

Hamm is the son of Denise M. Matthews, Trout Run, and Donald W. Hamm, Williamsport. He graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2003. He received a bachelor's degree in political science with dual minors in leadership studies and business from?Lock Haven University in 2009. He served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He served in active duty from January 2005 through July 2006, stationed in Ramadi, Iraq, while serving with the second Marine Division and the 28th Infantry Division. He was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Overseas Service Ribbon.
Maid of honor was Tasey Agnew, Athens.
Bridesmaids were Kassandra Seyler, Delmar, Md., cousin of the bride, Monica Leinbach, Williamsport, Jynelle Gaines, Camp Hill, and Cassandra Schon, Cogan Station, sister-in-law of the bride.
Flower girl was Madison Rose Hamm, daughter of the couple.
Best man was Travis Rechel, Glen Mills.
Ushers were Nick Dellomo and Brett Leinbach, both of Williamsport, Zach Sennett, Durham, N.C., and Zachary Schon, Cogan Station, brother of the bride.
The couple is residing in Cogan Station.
