John E. Novalis, 68, of 275 Grimesville Road Williamsport, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College, Pa.
John was born June 16, 1941 in Indiana, Pa., the son of John P. and Josephine Stolish Novalis.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Annunciation Church. John was retired, he was the owner of J.E. Novalis and Associates, a manufacturer representation firm. John was on the board of directors of the Old Lycoming Twp. Board of Supervisors. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #366 and a member of the Texas Block House Fish and Game Club.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Veronica S. Novalis, who died June 5, 2008.
He is survived by his sons, Col. John E. Novalis III of Springfield, Virginia, Michael J. Novalis of Williamsport, Christopher Novalis of Bedford Virginia, and Timothy T. Novalis of Monkton, Md. John's grandchildren survive him, Danielle, John III, Nicholas and Andrew. He is also survived by a brother, Terry L. Novalis of Orlando, Fla., and a sister, Debbie Novalis of Indiana, Pa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Shane Kirby, his pastor, will officiate. Friends may call at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport, Pa., 17701 on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
