In the city, there is a local apartment complex in a country-like setting.
Owned by Manor Group, Grampian Hills Apartments sits on a 50 acre hillside tract with more than 20 acres of woods and paths, according to Eva Waldman, apartment complex resident manager.
"We offer spacious homes with contemporary amenities and services to accommodate the lifestyle needs of all residents. Our demographics are a mix of families, professionals, single residents, college students and senior citizens. We welcome residents of all ages to live at Grampian Hills and enjoy the amenities we have to offer," Waldman said.

Residents of the apartment complex get to experience its country-like setting,
while enjoying on-site amenities like the playground, outside swimming
pool and fitness room, while only being minutes from many stores
and comforts of Williamsport.
There are planned monthly activities for the residents. Some of those activities are pizza and wing night, pot luck dinners, educational seminars, movie nights, continental breakfasts, Mother's Day afternoon tea, St. Patrick's Day dinner and wine and cheese tasting, according to Waldman.
"We do an annual pool party and holiday party with a catered dinner," Waldman said. "Our activities are always free to our residents."
Swimming and working out are other activities the residents may look forward to.
"We have a heated outdoor pool with certified lifeguards on duty and a children's wading pool. We provide free swim lessons for the residents children and grandchildren and we also do water aerobics. We have a state of the art fitness center which is open 24 hours and a basketball hoop,"Waldman said.
The apartment complex has 198 units with more than 325 residents living in there. There are one to three bedroom apartments.
"The three bedrooms have two full bathrooms. The apartments have private outside entrance, sound conditioning between the floors, patios or balconies with a breathtaking view of the Susquehanna Valley and the mountains," Waldman said.
More than 325 residents live in the complex. Many times when they leave, they come back.
"Our commitment to our residents and customer service keeps our residents coming back. We have over the years had residents move out and later move back in because of their positive living experience here. We have some residents that have resided at Grampian Hills for over 30 years," Waldman said.
Friendships are the most rewarding part of the job and many times, the residents become part of an extended family, according to Waldman.
"You hear and see some residents go through difficult times in their lives whether it be from an illness or to losing a family member, we are here for them," Waldman said.
