Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Garver, Williamsport, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary June 11, 2010.
They were married in Boardman, Ohio, and are members of Faxon-Kenmar United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Garver, the former Virginia G. Davis, is a native of Youngstown, Ohio. She graduated from Boardman High School in 1956 and attended Ohio State University. She retired in 1987 from the United Churches, where she was employed as a secretary.

Mr. Garver is a native of Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated from Boardman High School in 1954 and Youngstown State University in 1960. He served as a Loyalsock Township supervisor for 30 years and retired in January. Mr. Garver had the tennis courts in the Bruce E. Henry Park named after him on Arbor Day 2010. He retired in 1998 from the former E. Keeler Co., now Kvaerner, where he was employed as the manager of engineering.
They are the parents of three daughters, Diane Reeder, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; Debra Gutermuth, Hickory, N.C.; and Sandra Harpster, Lynchburg, Va. There are five grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a party will be held Nov. 25 in Hickory, N.C.
