Betty L. Clarkson, 76, of Williamsport passed away in the loving arms of her family on June 10, 2010 at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.
She was born July 30, 1933 in Williamsport, the daughter of O. Floyd and Virginia L. House Reeser. Betty was married for 48 years to the late Ronald W. Clarkson, who passed away on Sept. 2, 2002. She also was predeceased by a brother, Robert C. Reeser.
She was a member Third St. United Methodist Church. Earlier in life, she was employed by Vanderlin Cleaners and Weis Markets.

Betty had a beautiful voice and often was requested to sing solos at church, weddings and family gatherings. She grew up singing soprano in the Third Street Choir and alongside her parents and later with her four daughters. She was an avid music lover and discovered "Celtic Thunder" later in life who she affectionately referred to as "Her Boys."
Betty and her friends, "The Girls," Joan, who is now deceased, and Dorothy, loved to take weekly shopping trips and stop for lunch.
Most of all, Betty was a devoted mom and grandma. She delighted and loved being surrounded by her family, sharing laughter, and reminiscing about fond and usually comical family memories.
She is survived by her four daughters Virginia Martz (Jeff), Lynda Clarkson, Karen Ayrer (Jim), and Patricia Donnelly (Dan), seven grandchildren Derek Clark (Katie), Dustin Nichols (Desiree), Jea Ayrer, Ciera Johnson, Teal Johnson, John Donnelly, David Donnelly, and two great grandchildren Nora and Cyrus Clark.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, June 26 at 10 a.m. at the family's "Ye Cold Springs" cabin along the Loyalsock Creek, located off of Rte. 87 at the end of Cold Springs Road, Montoursville. Family and friends will be invited to share memories of Betty during the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Betty made be made to The Gatehouse, 1100 Grampian Blvd. Williamsport, PA 17701.
