Pleasant weather expected for week

July 26, 2010

Area residents who felt as if they were stuck in a sauna bath in recent days will have a chance to enjoy more comfortable weather conditions this week.

"It looks to be a little cooler and drier than it's been," said National Weather Service meteorologist Craig Evanego. "High pressure will give us lower humidity."

The Weather Service is forecasting lots of sunshine today with a high temperature of 86 degrees.

Overnight temperatures will dip to a very comfortable 58 degrees with some patchy fog before morning.

Tuesday will be sunny with a high of 88.

The overnight low will be 64.

"It looks like that high pressure stays in control Monday and Tuesday," Evanego said.

More sunshine is on tap for Wednesday with the temperature reaching 90, although showers could move in late in the day.

The chance of rain is 30 percent.

"A second cold front coming through Thursday will keep the humidity low," he said.

It will be partly sunny Thursday with a high of 86.

The sunshine will stick around for the final days of July, according to the Weather Service.

It will be not quite as hot Friday and Saturday with temperatures in the lower to mid 80s, but mostly sunny both days.

Night-time lows ranging from the high 50s to low 60s later in the week will make for comfortable sleeping conditions.
