JERSEY SHORE - The Jersey Shore Area School District and the Lycoming County Band Directors' Association will hold the annual Marching Band Exhibition at 7 a.m. Sept. 15 at Jersey Shore Area High School's Thompson Street stadium.
The rain date is Sept. 22.
The performance will feature marching band units from each of the following Lycoming County schools: Hughesville, Jersey Shore Area, Loyalsock Township, Montgomery Area, Montoursville Area, Muncy, South Williamsport Area and Williamsport Area.
The evening's performances will be capped off by a performance from a 350-member massed high school band, comprised of all participating Lycoming County high school band students.
The Lycoming County Band Directors' Association was organized in spring 1974, consisting of the junior high and senior high school band directors of all the county schools. The association sponsors three such events each year: the marching band exhibition in the fall, the senior high county band in December and the junior high county band in March.
