September 7, 2010

For any bar or restaurant who is looking to bring some entertainment to their establishment in regards to pool tables, jukeboxes, or video games, Miele Amusement may be the place to go. Miele Amusement has been around since 1935, with Louis Miele, then owner, purchasing his first jukebox for roughly $45.

Now under the management of grandson Louis Miele, Miele Amusement rents out different entertainment systems to restaurants and bars on commission based fees. "We meet with bars or restaurants and try to figure out what systems will help them make money," said Miele.

Miele said that outdoor pool tables are becoming a bigger trend with businesses along with ATMs and digital jukeboxes. "ATMs are becoming more popular at different places because in today's day and age, younger generations are no longer carrying money as much as they are carrying and paying for things with the plastic," Miele said.

Miele Amusement offers a wide range of entertainment for any type of bar or restaurant theme.

Miele has branches of his business ranging from as far as Virginia Beach to New York state. His newest building is being built just a few blocks from his location on West 3rd Street, and Miele said that it's going to be an extremely green friendly building.

"This building will be one of the most green- friendly places found in Williamsport and it will store and distribute everything that our current location has but on a much larger scale," Miele said. Miele Amusement has several different branches ranging from the distribution of the different entertainment systems, they also have Miele Sales and Services, and Fusion Graphix.

Miele Amusement Sales and Services works alongside of TouchTunes which is the second largest downloaded music distributor in the country. Miele manufactures a jukebox conversion kit that allows the bar or restaurant to convert their already existing jukebox from CD based to digital.

"Sales and Services makes and sells jukebox conversion kits. These kits are built in house by Miele Amusement and then are shipped to bar or restaurant where they then are able to convert their jukebox by using a set of instructions we provide for them," Miele said.

With digital jukeboxes becoming the new entertainment for bars, Miele said that they are always trying to provide newer and easier products for their clients.

"There is actually a new TouchTunes application for iphones that will allow a person to link their TouchTunes music account to the jukebox in the establishment and play their music directly from their iphone and will be heard through the jukebox," Miele said.

Miele's sales and services team is available 7 days a week until almost midnight, which Miele says allows their customers to have total access to them anytime.
