Daisy N. Santalucia, 94, of 450 Center St., died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at Sycamore Manor surrounded by her loved ones.
Born Sept. 24, 1916, in South Williamsport, Pa., she was a daughter of Lloyd Baker and Ethel Ellen (Bishop) Kahler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Santalucia; children, Paula (Charles) Schmucker, Edward (Pat) Vining, Tony (Cathy) Santalucia; and an infant daughter; sisters, Mabel (James) Harshbarger, Shirley (Harold) Smith, and Ruth and Betty Kahler, and five grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Ethel "Carol" Bausinger of Nisbet, Nadeen Hauke of Williamsport, Jean (Doug) Harner, Louis (Lois) Santalucia and Joyce Sunderland, all of Montoursville; sister, Joan (Ray) Johnson of Fla.; brothers, Lloyd (Pat) Kahler of Knoxville, Tenn. and Richard Kahler of Lewistown, Pa.; a total of 67 grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and special friend, Don Goudy of Williamsport.
Daisy was a homemaker for several families, cook, and member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, where she also participated in the Sr. Citizens Group. She was an avid bowler and bingo player. She will be sadly missed by her family, church family and friends at Sycamore.
Her funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Friends may call the funeral home starting at 11 a.m. the same day. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park. www.sandersmortuary. com
