One year ago this week, Kenny Steinbacher, Zane Patalive and Steve Shaible made the best of an unfortunate situation and opened Real IT Care after their employer disbanded the division of the company the three Microsoft Certified professionals had worked for several years.
Operations began at Real IT Care, 136 Catawissa Ave, began Nov. 5th of last year.
Now, one year later, business grew about 45 percent beyond the customers that had already been established by the trio, according to Patalive.

Real IT Care headquarters are at 136 Catawissa Avenue off Reach Road in Williamsport's West End.
The company specializes in the design, installation and support of computer networks, servicing companies with three to 300 computers, according to Patalive.
Some of their services include network design and installation, system assessments and direct access to network engineers, according to the company website.
"Even though technology is fairly consistent from company to company, individual application of technology is anything but consistent. Our real joy is building relationships with our clients where we can cooperatively implement technology to make their lives better and ultimately more profitable," Shaible said.
In a questionable economic time, the company has experienced positive growth and has been able to add to their team with hopes of furthering their team even more.
A part time technical employee was added in the summer and another two employees are anticipated by next year, according to Patalive.
According to Shaible, they were able to maintain work quality while increasing their work load.
The company is able to specialize in businesses of different sizes and types, servicing companies that only need a single service to others that require yearly contracts, according to Steinbacher.
Shaible said services are custom fit for each customer.
"One of the biggest things that helped our growth is the help of the existing customers and word of mouth," Shaible said. "We had come from an established company. Because we had already established those relationships, we had a lot of relationship building from our existing customers that we brought over."
The three also joined a networking group called, Business Network International, which they attribute to helping get the word out.
"When I think of the three of us, Zane and I have many years of experience. Kenny, with his younger youthful side, gives us a nice blend, giving us new ideas and keeping us fresh. We have a really good blend of areas," Shaible said.
