LEWISBURG - For their wedding planning needs some will do all the work themselves, and some will hire a professional. To save time, money and stress, try Unforgettable Events.
Unforgettable Events opened its doors in June 2003.
"We offer a variety of services that can easily fit into any bride's budget," said Roxanne Lupold, owner and operator.
"Unforgettable Events offers full coordination, partial planning, day-of coordination, consultations and decorating services. We also offer customized wedding invitations, linens, chocolate fountains and candy buffets," Lupold said.
Their prices are based on the client's budget.
"One can expect to pay anywhere from $400 up to $3,000," said Lupold.
Unforgettable Events has planned more than 100 weddings since opening.
"I guess what I enjoy the most is working closely with each of my couples and getting to hear how they envision their wedding day. Sometimes their vision is a formal affair or maybe they want something more casual.
"I have seen visions start from a piece of fabric, flowers, fruit and even songs," Lupold said.
"No two weddings have ever been the same; however, each were very beautiful and I am always happy to know that I was asked to be a part in creating a life-time magical moment for them."
Lupold offers the following advice for brides: "A good timeline and checklist is a must have and will help with all areas of planning, right up until your wedding date. Also, always, always start with a budget."
Planning a wedding can be a very taxing job. It is the most elaborate event to organize, Lupold said.
Most of us have jobs, a busy family and social life, and household responsibilities - and planning a wedding can sometimes be too much to handle on your own, Lupold said.
"An average wedding takes about 200 to 300 hours to plan. This time should be used to envision your dream wedding instead of laboring for its many details," Lupold said.
"As much as it is fun to think about wedding plans, it is not as easy as it seems. If anything can go wrong, it will. That is where wedding coordinators come to your aid, by being prepared and equipped to handle wedding emergencies," Lupold added.
Wedding coordinators used to be a luxury, but now are essential to a well-planned event. A wedding coordinator can help you save a lot of time, money and effort, almost enough to cover the cost of hiring them, Lupold said.
"Most common mistakes can be avoided with a wedding professionally planned," Lupold said.
If you do decide to hire a wedding coordinator, do not forget to check references. It is also important that you are compatible with them, so you can have fun planning."
