Tim Heitzman and John West founded Susquehanna Computer Innovations, Inc., or SCI, in 1998 with the goal of providing technology solutions to their customers that utilize high quality products and deliver them with world class service and support.
In response to the rapid growth in the market and to better serve their customers, SCI moved to their current location, 280 Kane St. in South Williamsport, in 2004.
The facility provides a new showroom, classroom and expanded engineering and technical support areas to help handle current business needs and to allow for growth in the future, according to Heitzman, president and network engineer for SCI.
The regional technology firm works for three verticals, which includes small businesses, local government and public safety agencies.
Every PC tech, or employee, who works at SCI is certified through the CompTIA Authorized Service Center program, which proves to clients that their technicians are knowledgeable, capable professionals, according to Heitzman.
"Every one of our techs here are certified by CompTIA," Heitzman said. "We are actually one of two CompTIA certified service centers within 100 miles."
SCI's commitment to quality, by requiring all their employees to be certified, helps to make them so successful and customers coming back, according to Heitzman.
SCI prides themselves in working with their customers at a personal level while maintaining a professional atmosphere that makes working with them a good investment, as well as a friendly experience which ensures the customer's technology investment, according to Heitzman.
"Our focus is on quality and knowledge," Heitzman said. "We work as a team with our clients, which is a different model from our competitors."
Heitzman said most other businesses focus on volume, where as SCI focuses on long-term relationships with their customers, which is how their model is so successful. Their equipment is not cheap, but top-of-the-line and dependable, according to Heitzman.
"We don't turn people away," Heitzman said. "Our customers like the dependability and knowing that we are here."
SCI's team work approach allows for customers to enjoy the business and keep coming back, according to Heitzman. Customers looking for complete computer and networking solutions can expect SCI to be a top regional source. Their consultative approach to sales and engineering helps customers determine their hardware and software requirements, which enables SCI to rapidly accommodate their customers' continuously changing technology needs, according to Heitzman.
The company has over 33 years of combined experience and commit themselves to providing clients with the right solution the first time, and then to continue to provide the customer with top-of-the-line service after the sale.
In the future, SCI plans to work on better advertising and getting the word out about their company and services.
"We plan on growing the business from the inside," Heitzman said. "As demands grow, the business grows."
