Herb guild plans meeting
The Williamsport Herb Guild will meet at 7 tonight at Covenant Central Presbyterian Church, 807 W. Fourth St.
Daniel Gasterger will present the program, "Herbs Meet Social Media." He also will discuss his website.
In addition, guild member Mary Ginter will give a short talk about the herb chives. The event is open to the public.

Safe meals for crowds workshop set
PICTURE ROCKS - The Penn State Cooperative Extension will host a "Cooking for Crowds" workshop for those who prepare fundraiser meals from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Picture Rocks Fire Hall.
The topics will include food-borne illnesses, planning a safe event, safe food purchasing, storage, preperation, service for a crowd, monitoring and record keeping, cleaning and sanitizing.
