The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society, 858 W. Fourth St., will hold its annual Day Camp from 9 a.m. to noon July 25 to 29. The cost is $60 per child (for children of historical society members) and $70 per child (for non-members).
This year, the camp will focus on the Civil War and the 19th century, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the firing on Fort Sumter and the beginning of the Civil War.
Each day will have a theme including canals and the railroad, past-time and leisure activities of the 19th century, the life of a Civil War soldier, logging and lumbering, the log boom and a ride on the Hiawatha, a tour of the Rowley House, a session with Miss Manners and graduation.
Space is limited and early registration is encouraged. Applications are available at www.tabermuseum.org or by calling 326-3326.
