Woman joins bank's
Michelle Stroup recently joined Jersey Shore State Bank Mortgage Services as a mortgage consultant. She will work with customers in the Williamsport and surrounding Northern Tier markets.
With more than 16 years of lending experience, Stroup can offer customers a full range of mortgage loan products. According to Jerry Seman, vice president of mortgage services, "the addition of Michelle to our team will only enhance what we can offer our customers. Her mortgage lending knowledge will help provide our customers with a positive home buying experience."

employee of the month
Wes Kiessling, transportation construction inspector, has been named the state Department of Transportation district office Employee of the Month for April.
Kiessling performed a variety of duties in the past season as an inspector, ranging from inspection of a bridge rehabilitation project to assisting in the northern counties on a critical pipe installation project. For the winter months, He was tasked with the high-speed pace of designing numerous traffic control plans, and the computer-aided drafting and design of five projects.
He volunteered for the necessary training to learn CADD skills, and was successful applying them to several plans he prepared during his winter assignment. His initiative helped the construction design services unit achieve their goals in project delivery.
He is respected by his peers and thought highly of by his supervisors.
Kiessling, a five-year PennDOT employee, lives in Trout Run with his wife Melissa. They have two sons, Caleb and Mayson.
