The first event will be held June 23 at the St. Francis Hall, Mildred. The informational program will begin at 11 a.m., with lunch at noon.

Ed Boardman from Endless Mountains Transportation Authority will provide information on transportation services, and Marcella Yasharian, APPRISE coordinator for the Area Agency on Aging, will give a short presentation on APPRISE, health insurance and how the agency can assist individuals.

The second event will be June 28 at the Eldredsville Fire Hall. The informational program will begin at 11 a.m., with lunch at noon.

The program will consist of Rick Finnegan from the Pennsylvania Game Commission providing a presentation on bears.

There is no charge for attending a "Senior Center Without Walls" event. However, donations are accepted. Reservations are required for the events and can be made by calling 800-822-6793 before 11 a.m. June 27.

The "Senior Center Without Walls" program, started in 2010, is a mobile program designed to bring the benefits of a senior center to communities that don't have a traditional senior center. These events always are free of charge to anyone age 60 and older, and their spouses, and always include an educational program or entertainment, in addition to a nutritional, hot meal.

The B/S/S/T Area Agency on aging is funded in part by the state Department of Aging and the Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna and Tioga County Commissioners.
