Mr. and Mrs. John I. Bower Jr., Williamsport, observed their 25th wedding anniversary June 21, 2011.
They were married by the Rev. Walter Brandau at St. Mark Lutheran Church, where they are members.
Mrs. Bower, the former Brenda Vollmer, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of Marlene Vollmer, Williamsport, and the late Donald Vollmer. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1987 and is a homemaker.

Mr. Bower, a native of Williamsport, is the son of Ann Marie Bower, Williamsport, and the late John I. Bower Sr. He graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1984.
The couples owns Bower Disposal and Container Service.
They are the parents of two sons, Jonathan and Tyler, both of Williamsport. There are two granddaughters.
In honor of their anniversary, a family dinner, hosted by their children, was held.
