Greater Williamsport Majors remain alive

The Greater Williamsport Area defeated East Lycoming 11-4 on Thursday in a District 12 Major Softball elimination game. Williamsport moves on to face Jersey Shore on Saturday.

Williamsport scored four runs in the first inning and added five in the third to take a 9-2 lead.

Molly Stone had three hits for Greater Williamsport. Winning pitcher Madison Zwisle and Allison Arroyo each had two hits.

East Lycoming lost in the first round to South Williamsport, 14-4, on Monday. Williamsport lost to Montoursville in the first round on Monday, 7-3. In the winner's bracket, Clinton and Montoursville will play this upcoming Monday.
