Holiday has people feeling patriotic

July 4, 2011
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

People in Lycoming County are in a festive mood today as they celebrate America's Independence Day with food, music and patriotic events.

The Sun-Gazette visited two today, starting in Jersey Shore where the Fair Play Men reenacted the historic signing of central Pennsylvania's own Declaration of Independence beneath the historic, though no longer around, Tiadaghton Elm Tree.

Then the Sun-Gazette went downtown, where the Uptown Music Collective was kicking off what promises to be a full night of music leading up to the fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
