The Williamsport Sun-Gazette's first book sale to benefit the Newspapers in Education (NIE) program, held on Saturday, was a great success, according to Bernard A. Oravec, Sun-Gazette publisher.
"We sold thousands of books, CDs, DVDs and records, but we still have hundreds of remaining items," he said.
All remaining items will be sold for 25 cents each from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Wednesday at the Sun-Gazette offices, 252 W. Fourth St.
That includes all books, CDs, DVDs, records, VHS tapes, children's books and more.
Those going to the sale are asked to take their own bags and boxes.
All items are "as is" and all sales are final.
All proceeds benefit the NIE program in local schools.
