Four companies have submitted bids to remove a 15,000 gallon underground heating oil tank at the county Prison and replace it with a 10,000 gallon tank.
The bids, which were opened Tuesday during a planning session for the county commissioners' Thursday meeting, range from a low bid of $56,500 to a high bid of $247,000 for both tasks.
Also on tap for the Thursday meeting is action regarding the purchase of a skid steer loader for county Resource Management Services.
The loader will be used to process materials inside the RMS recycling facility at the county landfill in Brady Township, said Jason Yorks, county resource recovery manager.
The loader, which is being bought through a state buying program, will cost the county about $53,000, Yorks said.
