South Willamsport Area School Board voted in favor of a refinancing plan for capital improvement projects at its regular monthly meeting Monday night.
By taking advantage of lower interest rates, the district stands to save some $375,000, according to district officials.
Board President John Engel said the district has eight years left on the bond financing plan used for such district needs as roofing, paving and various renovations.
"We will be debt free in eight years," he said.

It was noted that Driscoll was among five candidates for the position.
