The Rev. and Mrs. Stanley P. Hartung observed their 61st wedding anniversary June 3, 2011. They were married by the Rev. George Hartung at Seward United Methodist Church. They are members of Northway Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Hartung, a native of Seward and formerly of Millville, is the daughter of the late Samuel Wesley and Elma Eves. She received her registered nurse diploma from Philadelphia General Hospital and served as a first lieutenant on a hospital ship before studying public health nursing at the University of Pittsburgh.
The Rev. Hartung, a native of Mars, is the son of the late Mamie and Clarence Hartung. He served in the Army prior graduating from Westminster College. He received a master of divinity degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He served churches in Mexico, Pa., Brookline and Clinton, before retiring as Pastor Emeritus of Northway Presbyterian Church.

They are the parents of a son, Ronald, Mifflinburg, and three daughters, Diane Guthrie, Williamsport, Barbara Isenberg, Mechanicsburg, and Elaine Heeter, Waynesburg. There are seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a family dinner was held at Country Cupboard Restaurant, Lewisburg.
