David E. Sanders, 69, of Cogan Station, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born in Williamsport, on Dec. 20, 1941, he was the son of William M. and H. Marie Brelsford Sanders.
David and his wife, the former Avinella A. Snell, were married April 19, 1969.
He was a mechanic for PP&L Electric Utilities in Montoursville for 32 years.
David was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Muncy American Legion, and was a Pop Warner Volunteer. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play football and baseball.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tammy (Lonni) Sanders Fornwald of New Media; a son, David W. (Denise) Sanders of Williamsport; stepdaughters, Jackie McCarty and Cindy Wilson, both of Reading, Debbie Mauger of India; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, James E. (LeAnna) Sanders of Pennsdale.
He was predeceased by a sister, Kay Duff.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. There will be a viewing from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Twin Hills Memorial Park in Muncy.
