Mr. and Mrs. George Berninger, Nisbet, will observe their 30th wedding anniversary Sept. 4, 2011.
They were married by the Rev. John Piper at DuBoistown United Methodist Church. They are members of Nisbet United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Berninger, the former LuAnn Simpson, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of Lillian Simpson, South Williamsport, and the late LeRoy Simpson. She graduated from South Williamsport Area High School and is employed by Rommelt Middle School, South Williamsport, as a secretary.

Mr. Berninger, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Nellie and George Berninger. He graduated from South Williamsport Area High School and Lycoming College. He is employed by UPS as a delivery driver.
They are the parents of three daughters, Amy Carlin and Jessica Staib, both of Muncy, and Sheila Volinsky, Philadelphia. There are three granddaughters.
In honor of their anniversary, a trip to Baltimore was planned by the couple's daughters.
