Mr., Mrs. Herb Cohick observe 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Herb Cohick, Williamsport, observed their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 3, 2011.

They were married by the Rev. Alphonsus Manley at Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church. They are active members of St. Joseph the Worker Parish Church.

Mrs. Cohick, the former Betty J. Cillo, is a native of Williamsport. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1950. She was employed by the former Grit Publishing Co. and retired from Williamsport Area School District in 1990. She also was a tipstaff for the Hon. Judge William S. Kesier.

MR., MRS. HERB COHICK

Mr. Cohick is a native of Williamsport. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1949 and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He attended Lycoming College and was employed by the former Avco Manufacturing Co. He retired in 1990 from the U.S. Postal Service, Watsontown, as a postmaster.

They are the parents of a son, Col. (retired) Donald M., San Antonio, Texas, and a daughter, Lauren C. Balliet, Hughesville. There are seven grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
