Bower-Wells

Erica Yvonne Bower and Joshua Michael Wells, both of Herndon, Va., were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011.

Leora M. Motley officiated at the ceremony held at the Evergreen Country Club, Haymarket, Va., where a reception also was held.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Guiseppes Italian Restaurant, Haymarket.

The bride is the daughter of Yvonne and Malvern Bower, Williamsport. She graduated from Loyalsock Township High School in 1998. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology and criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, in 2002 and a master's degree in counselor education from McDaniel College, Westminster, Md., in 2006. She is employed by Inova Health System, Fairfax, Va., as a therapist.

Wells is the son of Linda and Timothy Wells, Rocky Hill, Conn. He graduated from Gilbert High School in 1999 and received a degree in criminal justice from Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., in 2006. He is employed by Metropolitan Police Department as a law enforcement officer.

Matron of honor was Jodi Moodie, Williamsport, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Emily and Madelynn Moodie, nieces of the bride, and Megan Bowman, all of Williamsport; and Michele Tomlinson, Hoboken, N.J.; Melissa Kavenshansky, Pittsburgh; Phuong Hoang, Baltimore; Katherine Fleming, Columbia, Md.; and Rachel Wilson and Anna Kate Murphy, both of Gainesville, Va.

Flower girls were Ella Mordarski, Franklin, Mass., and Megan Mordarski, Oakville, Conn., both nieces of the bridegroom.

Ring bearer was Jacob Drever, Ashburn, Va., cousin of the bridegroom.

Best man was James Nichols, Campbellsville, Ky.

Ushers were Timothy Tipton, Bethesda, Md.; Erik Richards, Ashland, Mass.; Dave Purpura, Middleboro, Mass.; Anthony Lima, Ashland, Mass; Jamie Corcoran, Torrington, Conn.; Shane Moodie, Williamsport, brother-in-law of the bride; Brennan Moodie, Williamsport, nephew of the bride; Jaime Mordarski, Oakville, Conn., brother of the bridegroom; and Kevin Mordarski, Franklin, Mass., brother of the bridegroom.

Following a trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple is residing in Herndon.
