named vice president
Karen Labbate has been named vice president of sales for Commonwealth Energy Group, an energy consulting business headquartered in Dickson City.
In her new position, she is responsible for the direction and management of all sales and business development operations, a news release said.
Labbate has 15 years of business-to-business sales and marketing experience in the lending and information services industry. A former account executive for a Fortune 500 company, she was responsible for the formation and operation of a Pennsylvania licensed mortgage company. She is a former partner and Human Resources Director for a credit and information services company and is a member of various trade and networking agencies.
The former Karen Steinbacher, Labbate was raised and educated in Williamsport. She resides in Shavertown with her husband, Dr. Victor Labbate.

Insurance firm
adds 2 to staff
Gunn Mowery announces the addition of Andrew J. Tocimak to the firm's employee benefits division as an account executive for the State College location, and Lana Pizzuto in the commercial division as a customer service representative at the State College branch, according to a news release.
Tocimak will be responsible for broadening sales in group health, life, disability and annuities. Previously with the Central Insurers Group, Tocimak served as the firm's financial service agent. He has 24 years of industry experience in the Central Pennsylvania region, where, the news release said, he has been recognized numerous times for his outstanding work in sales.
Pizzuto has 17 previous years of industry experience, most recently with Doty & Hench Insurance Agency. Gunn Mowery provides Commercial Insurance, Employee Benefits, Personal Insurance and Alternative Market products to businesses and individuals in the Central Pennsylvania area and beyond.
