Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Lyman, Montgomery, formerly of Williamsport, observed their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 16, 2011.
They were married at the former Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church, South Williamsport, now a United Methodist congregation.
Mrs. Lyman, the former Rinda J. Fisher, is a native of White Deer. She retired from Brodart Co.

Mr. Lyman is a native of Williamsport. He served in the Navy and retired from Detroit Stoker Co., Monroe, Mich. He is employed part time by White Deer Golf Course.
They are the parents of a daughter, Debbie Thompson, White Deer, and a son, Richard G., Fountain Hills, Ariz. There are two grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a family dinner will be held at DiSalvo's. They are planning an extended tour of the southern states during the winter months.
