Mr., Mrs. Dean Palmer observe 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Dean Palmer, Cogan Station, observed their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 23, 2011.

They were married by the Rev. Thomas Knight at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, South Williamsport.

Mrs. Palmer, the former Delorse Theresa Ginoble, is a native of South Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Josephine and Ernest Ginoble. She attended South Williamsport High School. She retired as the former owner and operator of Palmer Industrial Coatings.

Mr. Palmer, a native of Canton, is the son of the late Edith and Paul Palmer. He graduated from Canton High School and the former Williamsport Area Community College, now Pennsylvania College of Technology. He served in the Army in the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper. He retired as the former owner and operator of Palmer Industrial Coatings.

They are the parents of three daughters, Dina, Palmer Wascher, Cogan Station, Lori Palmer Kilheeney, Williamsport, and Julia Palmer Saul, Montoursville, and a son, Mark, Cogan Station. There are 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In honor of their anniversary, a celebration, hosted by their children, is being planned.
