The Revs. Ken Woods-Henderson and Christine Woods-Henderson, Williamsport, are observing their 40th wedding anniversary today, Sept. 25, 2011.
They were married by the Rev. Johnson at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Elizabeth, N.J. They are minister members of Northumberland Presbytery, Presbyterian Church (USA).
Mrs. Woods-Henderson, the former Christine Ione Woods, is a native of Plainfield, N.J. She is the daughter of the late Ione and James Woods. She graduated from Westfield High School, Westfield, N.J., in 1967. She received a bachelor's degree from Jersey City State College, Jersey City, N.J., in 1977, a doctorate from Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, in 1985 and a master of divinity from Methodist Theological School, Delaware, Ohio, in 1989. She is self-employed as a spiritual director.

Mr. Woods-Henderson, a native of Wilkensburg, is the son of the late Edith and Ralph Henderson. He graduated form Westfield High School in 1967. He received a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University in 1981 and a master of divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Louisville, Ky., in 1993. He is employed by Northway Presbyterian Church as a pastor.
In honor of their anniversary, a trip to Presque Isle is being planned.
