During the 2008 Presidential campaign, one of the criticisms by Republicans of then candidate Obama was that many of his policies would mean a repeat of the economic malaise of President Carter. Of course, the liberal political pundits dismissed this criticism saying that one would "have to be over 45 years old and that many of the new voters just were not alive at that time to remember".
Well, they need not wonder anymore. With the unemployment rate for the under 25 age group hovering around 20 percent, zero jobs added in August, and the economy stuck in a malaise, now they know.
On the bright side, there is still hope for change in 2012. It took a Carter to give us Reagan.
