Mr. and Mrs. Gary L. Young, DuBoistown, observed their 45th wedding anniversary Sept. 24, 2011.
They were married by the Rev. Henry F. Hopkins at Wesley Methodist Church. They are members of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Mrs. Young, the former Janice K. Pfirman, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Virginia and Harry L. Phirman. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1962.

Mr. Young, a native of Jersey Shore, is the son of the late Alice M. and Dale A. Young. He graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1962 and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Pennsylvania State Police, Montoursville station, in 1991 and from security at Susquehanna Health in 2006.
They are the parents of three sons, Timothy P., Towanda, and Daniel L. and James T., both of Williamsport, and a daughter, Tabitha H. Gehr, Williamsport. There are 11 grandchildren.
