Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Garner, Montoursville, observed their 40th wedding anniversary Oct. 5, 2011.
They were married by the Rev. Whitmeyer in Williamsport. They are members of First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Garner, the former Bonnie Laurene Kyler, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late M. Louise and Francis S. Kyler. She graduated from Harper Method Beauty School, Rochester, N.Y., in 1964 and Empire Beauty School in 1996. She retired in 2009.

Mr. Garner, a native of Warren, Ohio, is the son of the late Josephine M. and Joseph M. Garner. He served in the Air Force. He attended trade schools and workshops throughout the years and was a teacher and self-taught software designer. He was an entrepreneur for more than 40 years and owns Garner Consulting Inc., Montoursville.
The couple played in a band together, with Bonnie on drums and Charles on organ and vocals.
They are the parents of a daughter, Jennifer L.E. and Joshua C.F.J.
