Mr. and Mrs. Harold Houseknecht, Trout Run, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary today, Oct. 23, 2011.
They were married by the Rev. K. Belmont Metzger at Beech Valley United Methodist Church. They are members of Rose Valley United Methodist Church, Trout Run.
Mrs. Houseknecht, the former Virginia Mae Freezer, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Florence and Harry Freezer. She retired from GTE Sylvania, Montoursville, in 1992.

Mr. Houseknecht, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Claire and Harold Houseknecht. He graduated from Montoursville High School and served in the Air Force from 1948 to 1952. He retired from Ille-Forge Electric in 1988.
They are the parents of four daughters, Diane Dincher, Cogan Station, Connie Hillegas, Fair Hope, Karen Gothel, Kennewick, Wash., and Danna Houseknecht, Montoursville. There are six grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a celebration was held at the couple's church Oct. 22.
