Announcement has been made of the engagement of Amanda Bowling and Matthew Stone, Wilmington, N.C.
A May 18 wedding in Wilmington is being planned.
Bowling is the daughter of Marcie and Ronald Bowling, Williamsport. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2002. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006 and is pursuing a master's degree in nursing at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. She is employed by New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, as a neonatal intensive care unit nurse.

Stone is the son of Allison and Duke Stone, Williamston, N.C. He graduated from Williamston High School in 2001. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2005 and a master's degree in business administration in 2011, both from the University of North Carolina. He is employed by the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, as a network technician.
