Kate Elizabeth Poust and Nicholas Adam Ries, both of Annapolis, Md., were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011.
The Rev. Vernon Morin officiated at the ceremony held on the beach in Avalon, N.J.
A rehearsal dinner and reception both were held at a private home in Avalon.

The bride is the daughter of Linda and Steve C. Poust, Muncy. She graduated from Muncy High School in 2002 and received a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from Philadelphia University in 2008. She is employed by Ayers St. Gross Architects and Planners, Baltimore, as a landscape architect.
Ries is the son of Larry and Leann Epstein, St. Michael's, Md., and Michael Ries, Arlington, Texas. He graduated from St. Michael's High School in 2001 and received a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from Philadelphia University in 2008. He is employed by Oehme van Sweden Landscape Architects, Washington, D.C., as a landscape architect.
Bridesmaids were Lauren Velkoff, Muncy, Lauren Frank, Washington, D.C., and Victoria Jones, Philadelphia, and Shelby Vogel, Easton, Md., and Ashley Ries, Baltimore, both sisters of the bridegroom.
Ring bearer was Jeremy Vogel Jr., Easton, nephew of the bridegroom.
Ushers were Matthew Sandy, Philadelphia, Larry Epstein, St. Michael's, stepfather of the bridegroom, Michael Ries, Arlington, father of the bridegroom, Sergio Galindo, Baltimore, and Jeremy Vogel, Easton, brother-in-law of the bridegroom.
Following a trip to St. Lucia, Lesser Antilles, the couple is residing in Annapolis.
