WELLSBORO - Good food, great stories, and a whole lot of laughter were shared when members of the Wellsboro High School Hornets football team joined residents at The Green Home for a tailgate party on Oct. 20.
During the celebration, members of the football team ate with residents on the first and second floor of The Green Home. Residents swapped life stories and hobbies with the players over a tailgate-themed luncheon, including hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, chips, brownies and soda.
"Both the residents and the students really enjoyed the visits," said Candy Callahan, director of activities at The Green Home. "Additionally, two Wellsboro High School seniors, Marisa Johnson and Victoria Pearson, are completing their senior project at The Green Home and helped us prepare the party - they were a big help."
