Knoxville man facing charges in district court
ELKLAND - Brandon Clark, 28, of 1342 Doan Road, Knoxville, was charged in two incidents recently. According to documents filed in District Judge Brian Edgcomb's office, he was charged by Westfield police with aggravated assault after he allegedly caused serious bodily injury to his girlfriend, hitting her several times in the face and right eye with a closed fist, causing two lacerations above and one below the right eye, contusions and swelling, as well as serious blunt trauma to the right eye during an assault at 210 Lincoln St. in Westfield. He was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail and his preliminary hearing set for Nov. 17.
In a second incident, he was charged by Elkland police with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft, and receiving stolen property in connection to an incident at the Bum Steer Bar, 105 S. Buffalo St., Elkland Oct. 20, during which he allegedly threatened a bartender at gunpoint and took a gallon of Peachtree Peach Schnapps and left the scene. He then went to another victim's house and got into her car and took it without permission. He was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail.
6 people charged with domestic violence
ELKLAND - Six people were charged in domestic violence incidents recently. According to documents filed with District Judge Brian Edgcomb's office, they are:
Jerry Misner, 76, of 397 Station Road, Lawrenceville, charged by Lawrence Township police with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment, following an incident at his residence Oct. 19. According to police he assaulted a case worker with the Tioga County Children's Services while in the performance of her duties she was at the residence checking on the condition of the house and found it in rough shape. He was released on $25,000 bail and his preliminary hearing set for Dec. 1.
Russell R. Hill, 25, of Lancaster, charged by Westfield police with simple assault, stalking, harassment, following a domestic incident at 225 Lincoln St., Apt. 202B, Westfield Oct. 5, by allegedly following a woman to Riverside Park when she left after the two argued, calling her names and threatening her. He then caught up with her and allegedly pushed her on the floor and began kicking her. Hill is in Lancaster County Jail on other charges and his preliminary hearing set for Jan. 26.
Richard Neal, 43, of 113 Walnut St., Westfield, charged by Westfield police with harassment of his ex-wife by communication following an incident at the residence Sept. 3. According to police he called her 55 times on her cellphone, leaving a message 29 times, and also sent her flowers and left religious books for her and her mother. He was issued a summons to appear at a Dec. 1 preliminary hearing.
Rebecca Hill, 28, of 225 Lincoln St., Westfield, charged by Westfield police with harassment by communication using lewd threatening language and disorderly conduct with obscene language. Police said that on Oct. 26, she assaulted the victim verbally, calling her obscene names and it was not the first time it happened, according to the victim. She was issued a summons to appear at a Dec. 1 preliminary hearing.
Jason M. Wescott, 28, of 122 E. Main St., Room 9, Westfield, charged with simple assault by Westfield police following an argument with his girlfriend at 216 Mill St., Westfield during which he slapped and choked her and then hit another man in the head and face several times and slammed him into a metal bed frame, on Oct. 30. He was summoned to a Dec. 1 preliminary hearing.
Lori Jean Widnikiewicz, 48, of 122 E. Main St., Room 16, Westfield, charged by state police with making false reports to law enforcement that she was the victim of domestic violence at the Colonial Inn, 122 E. Main St., Room 16, Westfield, on Oct. 22. She was issued a summons to appear at a Dec. 22 preliminary hearing.
5 charged with theft, receiving stolen property
ELKLAND - Five people were charged with theft and receiving stolen property recently. According to documents filed with District Judge Brian Edgcomb's office, they are:
Jessi T. Rall, 22, of 4515 Route 328, Millerton, charged by state police after he allegedly wrote a check for $1,980 on a closed account to another person at a Route 549 address Aug. 31. He was released on $10,000 bail and his county court arraignment set for Dec. 19.
Ciera Leann Bennett, 20, of 650 Watson Road, Tioga, charged by state police after she allegedly took her mother's car and her father's debit card and left the house in the middle of the night, using the card to withdraw $400 cash. She was issued a summons to appear at a Dec. 1 preliminary hearing.
Derek L. Nicholson, 36, of 35 Redhouse Lane, Lot 5, Lawrenceville, charged by Lawrence Township police after he allegedly took furniture valued at $225 from the residence Nov. 12, broke a window valued at $30 in the middle of the night. He was issued a summons to appear.
Terri L. Bush, 38, of 116 A Proctor Ave., Elkland, charged by Lawrence Township police after she allegedly took several garden hanging baskets and flats of vegetables valued at $316 from 18997 Route 287, Tioga June 29. She was issued a summons to appear.
Brett A. Leonard, 25, of 148 Beers Road, Lawrenceville, charged by state police after he allegedly took $113 from a cash drawer at the Pump and Pantry Store at 58 N. Main St., Lawrenceville, Oct. 14, to make change for a $100 bill but said he forgot to put the $100 bill into the cash drawer. He was issued a summons to appear.
3 facing drug charges
ELKLAND - Three people are facing drug charges before District Judge Brian Edgcomb. According to court documents they are:
Clayton D. Jones, 19, of 990 Pony Hill Road, Millerton, drug and paraphernalia possession, charged by Lawrence Township police after they allegedly found him and another person behind the Blue Dot, Route 287, Lawrence Township Oct. 5, with a glass mirror with three lines of Percocet on it, and a rifle and semi automatic .22 assault rifle in his vehicle. He was issued a summons to appear at a Dec. 29 preliminary hearing.
Michael K. Heilbrun, 21, of 181 Hillside Terrace Road, Tioga, drug and paraphernalia possession, charged by Lawrence Township police for the same incident behind the Blue Dot, Lawrence Township, with Jones. He was issued a summons to appear at a Dec. 29 preliminary hearing.
Michael S. Stemen, 24, of Tioga County Prison, use possession of drug paraphernalia, charged by Westfield police following a traffic stop in the borough Nov. 20. He was released on $10,000 bail and his preliminary hearing set for Nov. 30.
3 people charged with drunken driving
ELKLAND - Three people were charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants recently. According to documents filed with District Judge Brian Edgcomb's office, each was issued a summons to appear. They are:
Wayne F. Sherman, 64, of Box 282, Osceola, charged by state police after he hit a house along Route 49, Deerfield Township, Sept. 4.
James P. Antes, 22, 59 North Main St., Mansfield, charged by state police after she crashed her car on Bailey Creek Road, Jackson Township Feb. 15.
Alan R. Dodd, 57, of Springfield, Tenn., charged by state police following a traffic stop on Route 15, Lawrence Township, Nov. 12.
