Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Stopper, DuBoistown, observed their 65th wedding anniversary Nov. 26, 2011.
They were married by the Rev. James Ohara at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, South Williamsport, where they are members.
Mrs. Stopper, the former Ann D. Steinbacher, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Esther and Robert Steinbacher. She attended the former St. Joseph High School. She is a homemaker.
Mr. Stopper, the son of the late Henrietta and Herman Stopper, is a native of Williamsport. He attended St. Mary High School and served in the Marine Corps for three years. He retired from the Williamsport Post Office in 1986.
They are the parents of a son, Robert H., and three daughters, Teri Knecht, Karen Stopper and Sandy Glover. There are eight grandchildren, a granddaughter, the late Jackie Ziegmann, and five great-grandchildren.
