Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Baker, Muncy, observed their 40th wedding anniversary June 19, 2011.
They were married by the Rev. Beth Clark at United Church of Christ, Mifflinburg. They are members of Grace Presbyterian Church, Montgomery.
Mrs. Baker, the former Cindy Marie Doebler, Lewisburg. She is the daughter of the late Helen E. and William L. Doebler. She graduated from Mifflinburg Area High School in 1967 and the former Williamsport School of Commerce in 1969. She is employed by Andritz Inc., Muncy, as a payroll administrator.

Mr. Baker, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Eva Georgine and Joel Baker. He graduated from Montgomery Area High School in 1966 and is employed by Andritz as a lead shipper and receiver.
They are the parents of a son, Joel W., Sinking Springs. There are two grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a vacation to Gatlinburg, Tenn., was taken in October, and a surprise party was held upon their arrival.
