Couple observes 40th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford S. Paisley, Jersey Shore, observed their 40th wedding anniversary Dec. 4, 2011.

They were married by Dr. Edwin Parker at McClure Chapel, First Methodist Church, Ardmore, Okla.

Mrs. Paisley, the former Judith Joan Cope, is a native of Graham, Texas. She is the daughter of Betty J. and Orville A. Cope, Ardmore. She graduated from Ardmore High School in 1966 and Wichita General School of Radiologic Technology in 1968. She retired from Williamsport Regional Medical Center in 2000, where she was employed as a radiographer. She is employed part time as a merchandiser for Bimbo Bakeries.

Mr. Paisley, a native of Williamsport, is the son of Marie DeMott, Williamsport, and the late Clifford S. Paisley. He attended South Williamsport area schools and received a GED in 1969, while serving in the Air Force. He graduated from National School of Heavy Equipment, Charlotte, N.C., in 1970. He served in the Air Force from 1966 to 1972 and served during Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. He retired from Stroehmann Bakeries in 2009, after 37 years of service, as a field representative and account manager.

They are the parents of a son, Clifford A. Sr., Peckville, and a daughter, Amanda J., Jersey Shore. There are two grandsons and one granddaughter.

In honor of their anniversary, a spring trip to Turning Stone Resort, Verona, N.Y., is being planned.
