Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Cashman, Hughesville, observed their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 24, 2011.
They were married by the Rev. William Lose at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hughesville. They are members of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Hughesville.
Mrs. Cashman, the former Donna Lee Barto, is a native of Hughesville. She is the daughter of the late Carmen D. and Carl H. Barto. She graduated from the former East Lycoming High School, Hughesville, in 1960 and the former State Beauty School in 1961. She was employed by Weldon Manufacturing Co. as a sewing machine operator from 1961 to 1966.

Mr. Cashman, a native of Exchange, is the son of the late Thelma R. and George C. Cashman. He graduated from North-Mont High School, Turbotville, in 1958. He served in the Army National Guard. He retired in 2002 from the United Parcel Service after 36 years as a package car driver, with 32 years of safe driver awards.
They are the parents of two sons, Sherman, Hughesville, and Lance, Muncy, and a daughter, Bobbie Sue Epright, Naples, Fla. There is one granddaughter.
In honor of their anniversary, a family dinner was held at the couple's home was held on Thanksgiving Day.
