Announcement has been made of the engagement of Kara E. Metz, Williamsport, and Garret R. Williams, Johnson City, Tenn.
A July 14 wedding at Lycoming Christian Church, Linden, is being planned.
Metz is the daughter of Karen and Rick Metz, Williamsport. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2007 and received a bachelor's degree in Spanish and political science from West Chester University in 2011. She is employed by Stallion Oilfield Services as an accounts receiveable clerk.

Williams is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Williams, Linden. He graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2007 and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration with concentration in management at East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tenn.
