Paul Daniel Lowmiller, 21, of 137 Chadlee Drive, South Williamsport, has been charged with allegedly sending text messages and voice mails threatening to have three people killed, according to court records filed at District Judge James H. Sortman's office.
Lowmiller faces charges of harassment and terroristic threats after he allegedly threatened to have his "men" kill his father, Michael Lapp, his father's girlfriend, Brooke Brown, and an acquaintance, Coco Maurer, police said.
Maurer and Lowmiller had been exchanging text messages and phone calls to each other on Dec. 5, when Maurer made a reference to Italian Muslims, which angered Lowmiller, who is a follower of Islam, according to police.
Lowmiller was video arraigned before Sortman on Dec. 7 and committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 14.
