Attorney makes

prestigious list

The law firm of Marshall, Parker & Associates has announced that founding attorney Jeffrey A. Marshall was selected by his peers for inclusion in U.S. News & World Report's "The Best Lawyers in America 2012 List" in the practice area of elder law.

Attorney Marshall's inclusion in best lawyers is based entirely on peer review of nearly four million attorneys. For 28 years, the top lawyers in the U.S. have helped make The Best Lawyers In America the leading legal referral guide by candidly evaluating the work of other top lawyers in the same practice areas and geographic areas.

Marshall is the founding principal of Marshall, Parker & Associates with offices in Williamsport, Jersey Shore, Wilkes-Barre and Scranton. He is certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation under the authorization of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, a distinction held by less than 50 attorneys in the entire state. Known as the "Father of Elder Law" in Pennsylvania, Marshall, a news release said, has blazed the trail for innovative techniques to protect seniors from the devastating cost of long term care and has helped many families with complex, comprehensive estate plans to minimize their tax liability and provide a lasting legacy. Now, more than 30 years later, the firm is dedicated to continuing the mission of quality elder law and estate planning services throughout Northeast and Central Pennsylvania.

board's certification

Certified practitioners in orthotics and prosthetics are professionals who are qualified to provide patient care and to fabricate and fir appropriate prescribed devices to individuals; these devices are used to supports, align, prevent, or correct conditions of the body or skeleton or to improve the function of moveable parts of the body.

"I'm honored and proud to have earned certification," Borgess said. "Working with patients provides a special kind of satisfaction, knowing that what I have learned is going to help someone return to activities they have always enjoyed."

The Williamsport Orthopedic and Prosthetic Co. has been in business since 1938. It is, according to the release, the only facility in northcentral Pennsylvania that has three certified practitioners who can fit diabetic footwear, spinal braces, and all other types of braces and artificial limbs.
