WELLSBORO - Three people will face drug charges in Wellsboro district court. According to court documents, they are:
Nathan R. Phillips, 21, of 24 Rods Lane, Covington, was charged by Wellsboro police with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found him and a 13 year old juvenile male in a wooded area near Highland Street Nov. 5.
They found Phillips, who is on probation, in possession of a 5mm quarter inch socket containing marijuana residue. He was issued a summons to appear at a Jan. 17 preliminary hearing.
Drake E. Velazquez, 18, of 441 Antrim Main Street, Wellsboro, was charged by Wellsboro police with use and possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said he had in his possession of three baggies containing heroin residue and five Suboxine pills in a pill bottle of prescribed Oxycodone, and three syringes in the front seat of his car at The Green, Nov. 23.
Velazquez, who is on probation was issued a summons to appear at a Jan. 3 preliminary hearing.
Robert D. Olivieri, 22, of 2541 Hills Creek Lake Road, Wellsboro, was charged by state police with use of drug paraphernalia and manufacture of a controlled substance.
According to police, probation officers discovered the crime during a probation visit to his residence Dec. 4. Police said Olivieri tried to hide the items by throwing a backpack into his closet as probation officers entered his bedroom.
The officers allegedly found a bundle of 11 zipper bags containing heroin wrapped in wax paper, five syringes, five empty blue wrappers, a bent spoon, a Zippo lighter, a glass cooker, cigarette papers, a lighter and other alleged drug paraphernalia.
Olivieri was issued a summons to appear at a Jan. 3 preliminary hearing.
