TODAY

Retirees eat free

Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 900 Elm St., will hold a free lunch for all retirees at noon. Freewill donations accepted. Special Christmas entertainment provided.

Christmas cantata

Faith Wesleyan Church adult and children's choirs, under the direction of Kerri Girton, will perform the Christmas Cantata "Journey of Faith" at 6 p.m. at the Penn College Klump Auditorium, 1062 West Third St. A compassionate offering will be received to benefit St. Anthony's Center.

Christmas caroling

PICTURE ROCKS - Singers from Picture Rocks Baptist Church, 50 Elm St., will stroll through the borough singing Christmas carols starting at 6 p.m. Hot chocolate and refreshments will follow.

Creche service

Christ Episcopal Church, 426 Mulberry St., will hold a creche service at 6 p.m. All are invited to come in their pajamas and slippers (but do not have to) to hear the Christmas story, sing carols and share in cookies and milk. The story of the true St. Nicholas will be shared, the historical figure whose story turned into the story of Santa Claus.

Christmas cantata

The Seventh-day Adventist District Choir will sing "Down From His Glory" Christmas Cantata at 7 p.m. at the church, 201 S. Market St., South Williamsport. A freewill offering will be taken.

Christmas musical

LINDEN - Lycoming Christian Church, 20 Chapel Hill Road, will hold the Christmas musical "Be Not Afraid," at 7 p.m.

Card exchange

PICTURE ROCKS - Picture Rocks Baptist Church, 50 Elm St., will have a Christmas card exchange. Cards to people in the church fellowship are placed in a box and distributed during a social hour following worship.

Children's pageant

Trinity Episcopal Church, 844 W. Fourth St., will hold Advent lessons and carols and a children's pageant at 8 a.m. in the chapel and 10 a.m. in the main church.

Christmas cantata

AVIS - Walnut Street Baptist Church, 201 W. Highland St., will present its Christmas cantata during the 10:45 a.m. service.

Christmas cantata

JERSEY SHORE - Jersey Shore Presbyterian Church, 235 S. Main St., will present "The King of Kings" Christmas cantata during the 11 a.m. worship service. The musical piece will feature soloists and the chancel choir singing the Christmas story.

Christmas play

JERSEY SHORE - The children of Crossroads Kids Club at Crossroads Community Church, 1454 S. Route 44, will present the Christmas play "iHope Christmas" during the 10 a.m. worship service.

'The Nativity Story'

to be shown

Trinity Assembly of God Church, 332 N. Loyalsock Ave. in Montoursville, will host the film "The Nativity Story" at 6 p.m. There is no charge and refreshments will be provided.

JERSEY SHORE - Grace Lutheran Church, 200 Maple St., will host a Christmas carol sing and readings at 7 p.m. at the church with refreshments following.

Youth party

JERSEY SHORE - Crossroads Community Church, 1454 S. Route 44, will hold its 180 Youth Ministries Christmas party at 7 p.m.

THURSDAY

Chanukah Party

Congregation Ohev Sholom, 1501 Cherry St., will hold a Chanukah party at 5 p.m. Food, beverages, and entertainment will be provided. The cost is $7 for adults, $5 for children.
